The Kalita Humphreys
Theater / Dallas Theater Center at Turtle Creek
Master Plan Presentation

When: Tuesday March 20, 2018, 6:00 p.m.
Where: Fair Park – Hall of State Lecture Hall

Please join AIA Dallas, Preservation Dallas, and the Dallas Historical Society for a free informational session and panel discussion on the Master Plan.

Learn about the significance of Frank Lloyd Wright’s only freestanding theater, built for the Dallas Theater Center and cutting-edge director Paul Baker, along the Turtle Creek corridor in the heart of Dallas. Discover the exciting possible future for a revitalized theater and site from the original master plan consultant team – including theater
design, landscape, and architecture professionals. Hear about the comprehensive public process that synthesized the wishes of the Dallas cultural community to improve and enhance the theater and its site, parking, and connections to the Katy Trail.

The evening will include panel moderator Veletta Lill, architecture critic Mark Lamster, Stan Cowan of Mesa Design Group, Jules Lauve III, ASTC with Theatre Projects Consultants, Jess Galloway, AIA, Ann Abernathy, AIA, and a special inspirational message from W. Kelly Oliver, the supervising architect who worked with both Wright and Baker.
