MODERN LIGHT:
Poul Poul Lamp
Designer: Dagmar Mombach
Ingo Maurer
Exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
Ingo Maurer Poul Poul Lamp from Ingo Maurer’s MaMo Nouchies series. Like a giant fortune cookie glowing with possibility, the Ingo Maurer Poul Poul Table- or Floor Lamp features a body that is formed and gently molded by pulling and wrapping delicate paper around a stainless steel frame. The Poul Poul goes through an elaborate paper dyeing process invented by textile artist Dagmar Mombach and is then transformed into a unique lighting fixture by designer Ingo Maurer.
Ingo Maurer’s long-standing interest in materials and his passion for paper are combined with his admiration for Japanese art. With the MaMo Nouchies, Maurer and Dagmar Mombach, who developed the technique for transforming the paper, pay homage to Isamu Noguchi, whose ideas were based on the traditional Japanese craft of Akari. The name of the series comes from the first two letters of Maurer’s and Mombach’s last names, along with Nouchies, a pun on Noguchi. The names of the individual lamps are named after ancient tribal spirits from all over the world. This Ingo Maurer lamp is not suitable for damp locations.

MODERN FURNITURE:
Inspired by the city of Porto, the only city in Europe with 6 bridges, Bridge desk features smooth, rounded surfaces and an overall minimalist aesthetic.
It is made from oak or walnut with steel arcs that span the legs, much like the structures you’d find on the bridges in Porto.
At times that everything seems digitally connected but everybody fights against deconcentration and dispersion, Bridge will remind you to always keep connections and provide a passage over the obstacles that you may face at work.
Well beyond the metaphor, it is the perfect desk for a 21st-century office.
