Dallas Builders Association
2018 PARADE OF HOMES
April 07, 2018 // 10AM – 5PM
Five stunning luxury Dallas homes are showcased in the 2018 Parade of HomesTM presented by the Dallas Builders Association. This scattered site, self-guided tour benefits Operation FINALLY HOME, an organization that provides custom mortgage-free homes to combat-wounded U.S. military veterans and their families. Tickets will be available on the day of the event online until 3:00 pm. Tickets paid for in cash can also be purchased at each home on the day of the event.
This tour is self-guided, which means that you can begin at any home you wish, in any order, at any time during the Parade of Homes event hours of 10:00am-5:00 pm. Please check-in and pick up your wristbands in addition to a printed program at your first home. A good rule of thumb is to allow 45 minutes for each home including travel time.
CLASSIC URBAN HOMES
This modern design catches your eye as you drive down a street that is a mixture of old and new. Entry is through a courtyard that allows an extra layer of privacy. Once inside the fence, it is apparent this is not your average home. The storefront entry glass draws visitors into the space, a personal retreat in the heart of a busy city.
THOMAS DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION
Designed for entertaining and family enjoyment, this minimalist farmhouse features an open interior layout with large outdoor living spaces. The traditionally lined and classic front exterior along with the lap siding, standing seam roof, and wood clad two-over-two windows are a nod to the farmhouse; while the modern floor plan, expansive back glass doors, and disciplined finish out support to create the perfect balance of modern and classic.

RICHARD MILLER CUSTOM HOMES
Nestled into a small hillside overlooking a creek, this Lakewood home was designed and built for a family of four with a modern, clean aesthetic consisting of a wood, stucco and stone palette. The house uses several methods of green design and construction including advanced insulation, a high-performance roof, accommodation for future solar panels and passive cooling for the public spaces.

PROSPECT HOMES
Until Prospect Homes purchased it, the featured property remained undeveloped for several years. This triangle shaped lot connecting two neighborhoods, Briarwood and Bluffview, was a mess of sagging power lines and out-of-use utility poles. The entire property was such a challenge that the vacant lot changed owners several times before landing in the inspired hands of Brian Manes, owner of Prospect Homes.
ALEXANDER HUNT DISTINCT HOMES
This stunning 4,231-sq.-ft. Transitional offers an open concept floor plan with 11’ ceilings and large walls of windows. No detail was ignored with top of the line custom features including an entryway pivot front door and pocket door leading to the study (both oversized and custom made), whole home automation, wide plank white oak hardwood floors throughout the house, a gourmet kitchen that includes an oversized LED lit quartzite island countertop, custom cabinetry, Thermador professional appliances, ice makers, and a pass-through bar with wine storage.
