The Dallas Architecture Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing public education about architecture, design, and the urban environment, continues its Spring 2024 Panel Discussion Series by presenting Design Inspirations on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. This Panel Discussion will be held at the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station at 6:30 pm. This event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC. A complimentary drinks reception will begin at 6:00 pm – The Panel will begin at 6:30 pm.
Join The Dallas Architecture Forum for our Design Inspirations Panel which will give attendees the rare opportunity to learn about what inspires some of our area’s most talented design leaders in their creative process. The Panelists will share with our audience what life experiences, educational opportunities, and other creative disciplines inform their work. They will also share briefly about a couple of their projects. Moderated by Meg Fitzpatrick, our Panelists will be Chris Angelle of Chris Angelle Design; Lauren Cantrell of Delineator Design landscape architects; and Michael Malone of Malone, Maxwell and Dennehy Architects.
Meg Fitzpatrick
Meg Fitzpatrick, President and Founder of MMF Strategies, a boutique Dallas-based firm known for advising CEOs, business owners, and senior leaders and collaborating with their teams about people development, operational improvements, and strategic issues. Meg served on the Dallas Architecture Forum’s Board for 10 years and facilitated the 2019 strategic planning process with The Forum’s Board of Directors and staff. Meg has been a business management consultant for thirty years starting her career at McKinsey & Company after graduating from Columbia Graduate School of Business. She is a DuPont Fellow holding a master’s degree from the Henry Francis DuPont program in museums and connoisseurship.
Meg holds advanced certifications in multiple behavioral sciences, including Emotional Intelligence (EQ), and employee engagement surveys from her business partner, TTI Success Insights®. Meg is an active member and contributor to the World Affairs Council’s Global Forum, Nasher Sculpture Center, The Dallas Architecture Forum, Greater Dallas Planning Council, and Downtown Dallas, Inc.
Chris ANGELLE
Chris Angelle, Creative Director of Chris Angelle Design, has a Bachelor of Design and a Masters in Architecture from the University of Louisiana. After graduate school, he worked in the fields of art, retail, and fashion before pursuing a career in Interior Design. A successful decade as Creative Director at Emily Summers Design Associates led to the founding of Chris Angelle Design in 2022. Known for his wonderful connection with his clients, Chris’ projects range from large-scale hospitality projects, curating artwork as well as entire interior residential spaces for his clients. Since the firm’s founding two years ago, they have been featured on the cover of Patron Magazine and have maintained a flourishing relationship with Emily Summers, collaborating on three contemporary single-family homes.
Lauren CANTRELL, PLA, ASLA
Lauren Cantrell, PLA, ASLA, is Principal / Founder of DELINEATOR Design, a landscape architecture firm in Dallas, Texas and Charlottesville, Virginia. Her experience spans the globe on a broad range of award-winning urban and site-scale projects that have focused on environmental sustainability and material craft. She credits the strength of her most successful work to her ability to curate strong collaborations with clients, architects, artists, stakeholders, engineers, and consultants. Lauren focuses on strengthening the connection between people and place to develop the groundwork for long-lasting, exceptional spaces that express a harmony with nature. She also serves as State Secretary for Texas American Society of Landscape Architects and holds positions in other organizations that advocate for public space and urban design.
Michael MALONE, FAIA
Michael Malone, FAIA is the Founding Principal of Malone Maxwell Dennehy Architects, based in Dallas, Texas. Known for its award-winning and widely published projects, the firm focuses its efforts in the areas of residential, retail, corporate interiors and recreational design. The firm has been the recipient of both the AIA Dallas Firm Award in 2013 and the Firm Award of the Texas Society of Architects in 2023. Michael served as the 2015 President of the Texas Society of Architects and continues to serve the Society in many capacities. He is the author of The Architects Guide to Residential Design and is a contributing editor to Texas Architect Magazine where he has written on a variety of topics. He is a current board member of AIA Dallas and is active in the Community Honors and Home Tours committees.
