At The Movies -Benjamin Latrobe

Benjamin Latrobe
Thursday, July 18
11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Free Event

We’ll continue our mini film festival with a screening about Benjamin Latrobe, considered by many to be America’s first architect. He designed much of official Washington, including the original portions of the U.S. Capitol and iconic features of the White House, but his work extended to other projects, including the Baltimore Basilica, America’s first Catholic Cathedral.

His life was an interesting one, ranging from his early successes and his friendship with Thomas Jefferson to the disappointments of his later years and his death in poverty in New Orleans.
Bring your lunch and join us. We’ll gather at 11:30 a.m. and start the screening promptly at noon. To RSVP, e-mail info@DallasADEX.org. Please include LLS-Latrobe in the subject line.
