Richard Waite, I am a second generation realtor with over ten years of experience representing buyers and sellers. Prior to becoming a real estate agent, I had over ten years experience as an interior architect specializing in commercial space planning and project management. I held both NCIDQ and ASID certifications.
I have two degrees, a Bachelor of Architecture degree (from the Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston) and, more recently, an Associate Degree in Legal Assisting (graduating Magna Cum Laude).
I currently hold both Texas and Oklahoma real estate licenses and prior to moving to Dallas held real estate licenses in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. I am also a member of Preservation Dallas and hold the Historic House Specialist designation.
My interests include renovating and restoring historic/notable properties, including a circa-1868 historic townhouse in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia (1999 Virginia Garden Show tour house) and, more recently, a circa-1954 mid-century modern house in Preston Hollow in Dallas.
I work in all areas of Dallas although I specialize in the neighborhoods of Preston Hollow and North Dallas. I am also familiar with the rapidly expanding cities north of Dallas including McKinney, Allen, Plano and Richardson.
My experience is a blend of architecture and design combined with many years in real estate representing clients who are purchasing a new home and/or listing an existing home. Listening, asking the right questions, advanced negotiating skills, patience and attention to detail all result in providing you with a seamless, enjoyable experience.
