“Resetting The Pace”

Fort Worth-based Gallery 440 announced today that it is hosting a solo exhibition featuring artist Aubree Dale titled “Resetting the Pace,” and will host a reception and artist talk on Dec. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m.

“Resetting the Pace” explores the joys and trappings of domestic life, its consumption habits, and the pursuit of a flexible mind. Dale uses painting as a means of world building, examining complex social structures and place. Her maximalist ecosystems reflect vast natural beauty and more intimate settings of backyards and patios, hinting at relationships, loneliness and the gap between ambition and resources. Smaller works and mixed media installation add depth, depicting unfinished projects, memories, and daydreams. These pieces reflect on home life, turning the mundane into something grand while addressing feelings of stagnation and overwhelm.

Aubree Dale is a visual artist based in Fort Worth, TX. Solo and group exhibitions include multiple locations throughout central and North Texas including the City of Austin’s Central Library Gallery, Contra Common, Arts Fort Worth, Black Lagoon Gallery and Cloud Tree Gallery. Dale was selected as Mary Tomas’ Gallery’s “Rising Star” in 2013 and is a 2024 Art Tooth Artists in Business Grant Recipient. She received her BFA from The University of North Texas in 2010 and studied Architectural & Ornamental Welding at Austin Community College.

Dale expresses her interests “…live in exploration of absurd and messy human narratives. I often probe the relationships a space may facilitate and comb the expectations of the individual in society. I want to create an opportunity to live among objects and within compositions that take shape in a poorly rendered, unbalanced world by way of painting, sculpture and installation.”

Gallery Hours are Monday through Friday, 9-5pm and by appointment on the weekends. Guests can join the email list to be invited for special gallery openings.
