Dallas CASA’s Parade of Playhouses
at NorthPark Center Ends Sunday, July 15
Dallas CASA’s 23rd annual Parade of Playhouses is in its final days at NorthPark Center. On Sunday, July 15 at 4:00 p.m. children will be asked to pull the winning ticket for each playhouse in the NorthCourt at NorthPark Center.
Presented by Crest Cadillac / Crest Infiniti, the event features 10 custom-designed and built playhouses donated by local builders, architects, corporations and organizations on display in the halls of NorthPark Center and two more on view at Dallas CASA. This year’s collection of houses includes a Whataburger drive-through, a vintage 1950s diner, a nautical beach house and a house shaped liked an acorn. The Warped playhouse is a completely interactive active play space with a trampoline, handholds for climbing or swinging and a warped wall. The houses are free to view and available to win by purchasing raffle tickets during the event at NorthPark Center or dallascasa.org . ($5 each or five for $20)
All children have the right to be safe. Dallas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) trains community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. For many of these children, their CASA volunteer is the only consistent, caring adult during a frightening, uncertain time. In 2017, Dallas CASA’s 1,314 volunteers advocated for 3,118 Dallas County children. However more volunteers are needed to serve all children living in protective care. Funds and awareness raised during Parade of Playhouses will help Dallas CASA recruit, train and supervise more volunteers.
