Why did Dallas rise to become one of America’s most important cites? Its not on a main body of water like Chicago or LA, nor is it a capital or have a major university. Paul Benson, professor of Humanities at Mountain View College, will discuss how it has always been a mystery as to why Dallas grew into a major U.S. city. What did Dallas have that made it better than say Denison, Denton, or Decatur?
