Steve Habgood moved to Dallas in 1985 to pursue a marketing, public relations and sales career. Prior to forming Hewitt & Habgood Group in 1999, Steve handled marketing, corporate communications, and public relations for Baylor University Medical Center, NUVO, and owned his own marketing communications company for five years. Steve is a past president of the Kessler Park Neighborhood association, has served as the chair of MetroTex Association of Realtors MLS committee, is the immediate past President of North Texas Real Estate Information Systems (NTREIS), past board chairman of the American Cancer Society/Dallas, and a past co-chair of Dallas’s AIDS LifeWalk. He serves as the current President of MetroTex Association of Realtors, representing 15,000 Realtors and affiliates throughout North Texas. He also serves on the board of the Texas Association of Realtors and the board of the National Association of Realtors. Steve has his GREEN designation from the National Association of REALTORS and is a designated Historic House Specialist with Preservation Dallas. He and his partner of 26 years live in the rolling hills of East Kessler Park with their rescue dog, Scooter.
