AIA DALLAS TOUR OF HOMES
FEATURING EIGHT HOMES, FROM HISTORIC TO CONTEMPORARY, AND SHOWCASING UNCOMMON APPROACHES TO RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
The self-guided, in-person tour is Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Tickets go on sale in August 2024 at www.hometourdallas.com. Tickets are $50 if purchased before the week of the Tour. Starting, on October 21, ticket prices will increase to $60.
Architecture firms represented on this year’s Tour are A. Gruppo Studio; A. Michael Architecture; AMDG Studio; Laura Juarez Baggett Studio; Lionel Morrison, FAIA Emeritus; Lloyd Lumpkins, Architect; Studio Lema; SHM Architects, and Studio Park Architecture.
The 18th annual AIA Dallas Tour of Homes, presented by eggersmann Kitchens & Home Living, returns Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27. The 2024 collection of tour homes features an assortment of styles, sizes, and price points in East Dallas, Preston Hollow, Highland Park, and North Dallas. A separately-ticketed non-tour home in Frisco will serve as the Premiere Party venue.
Tour-goers this year can expect to see a sweeping range of architectural details, from unconventional structural framing as the finished interior of the home; to an historic mid-century property hit by 2019 tornado and rebuilt to maintain the original character and terrazzo flooring; elevated interiors and furnishings with custom builds that highlight sculptural artworks; and the combining of two lots with contemporary layout and finishes designed to accommodate large gatherings while functioning for a family of three.
