Sun to Moon Gallery invites the public to get out of the summer heat and take a
cool, refreshing art break. For this exhibition, Gallery Director Marilyn Miller has
gone into the archives to assemble a diverse grouping of fine photographic
prints. From stunning landscapes, to hand-crafted bromoils & encaustics, to
platinum/palladium over gold leaf, to images created solely from the iPhone;
the wide range of photographic styles and artistic interpretations are certain
to impress.

FEATURED ARTIST:

Alison Shaw is an award-winning fine art and editorial photographer who has
lived and worked on Martha’s Vineyard since 1975. After graduating from Smith
College, she took a job at the weekly newspaper the Vineyard Gazette, where
she worked as a photographer and graphic designer for nearly 25 years.
The island has provided the inspiration and subject matter for much of her
photography. Many books have been published of Alison’s works, including
“Remembrance and Light: Images of Martha's Vineyard” and “Vineyard Summer.”
Alison’s colorful, contemporary and organic prints are visually stunning, beautiful
to behold. Very friendly to collectors and non-collectors alike, her vibrant prints
hang easily in contemporary spaces.
