| A syntagma (from a Greek word meaning "arrangement") is a juxtaposition of forms that relate to but are different from one another. Inspired by man and nature's horizontal, vertical, diagonal forms and the stunning patterns they create, Giersch and Fallon have responded with camera and pastel to give their artistic and perceptive interpretation of the landscape's mysterious syntagma. Fallon's stunningly irresistible sunset vistas showcase her ease of the pastel pallet. Matched with Giersch's keenly developed photographic eye this is an exhibition that will thrill all of the senses. The artists share that while working towards this joint exhibition their works have developed into "an exhibition of relationships of differences and how in their concurrence, one can find beauty." |
