| “Other Worlds” presents the newest dream paintings of Austin-based artist Skip Noah. Using intricate geometric constructs, radiant colors and enigmatic figures, Skip Noah draws the observer into other worlds inhabited by poets, mythical creatures, exotic plants and dreamy seas and heavens. His paintings transport us out of the humdrum mediocrity of the day to day into places of wonder, beauty and mystery. Skip’s work has regularly appeared in juried shows at Dallas’ Bath House Cultural Center. One of his paintings was also featured in the 2003 New Texas Talent show at Craighead Green. Most recently the North Lake College Gallery presented a 15-year retrospective of Skip’s oeuvre. The opening reception for “Other Worlds” is Friday, February 5, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. The show will run through March 19, 2010. The opening reception for “Art for the Masses” is Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. The show will run through January 30, 2010. |
