Dallas Modern Meet Up
The latest exhibition at the Dallas Center for Architecture examines how architecture
and design are impacting the spaces that children use not only for fun, but also
impact their development as individuals. Curated by Design Museum Foundation,
Extraordinary Playscapes features more than 40 pioneering play spaces from
around the world. The exhibition explores the latest thinking in playground design,
while presenting how vital free play is to childhood development, thriving communities,
and social equity. From towering treetop playgrounds to hand-knit crochet installations,
visitors will discover how architects and designers worldwide are engaging diverse
communities to translate play objectives into state-of-the-art and meaningful play
environments.

The exhibition will run through the summer, and is free and open to the public. The
Dallas Center for Architecture is open Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.,
and Friday from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. We will be closed for the holiday July 3 and 4.

Free and open to the public.

NOTORIOUS FIGURES OF DALLAS' PAST
Tuesday | July 25 | 6pm

Respected Dallas author and historian Michael V. Hazel presents some of the city's most
intriguing stories of notorious Dallas figures-persons who made their mark on history
through dastardly deeds or community achievements along with famous and forgotten
tales of the city.  In celebration of our 45th anniversary, we bring back this lecture from
2005.
